Street Outreach Services

What we do:

Street Outreach Services  is a street-based outreach program offering essential supplies, crisis intervention, and referrals for individuals or families living outdoors. We meet clients where they are, quite literally, to offer hope and assistance.

Services Provided:

  • Crisis intervention and support services

  • Referral and safe transportation to shelter facilities

  • Referral and connection to community support services

  • Assistance with housing and benefits applications

Want to help?

Would you like to help our Street Outreach team? We are always looking for volunteer groups and individuals to help assist our Street Outreach Coordinator. If you would like more information, please contact Heather Soileau at 1.337.237.7618 or hsoileauaoc@gmail.com.  Volunteers must be 18+ and commit to at least one shift per month, approximately 3.5 hours per shift.

 

The Outreach team also responds to concerns about people experiencing homelessness in the area from police, other social service providers, business owners, workers, and residents. To refer someone who is homeless and possibly in need of assistance you may contact our office at 1.337.237.7618 or the outreach helpline at 1.337.541.3781.
